Boot Camp and Adventure Training

By popular demand, SOAR has added training options other than its highly reviewed Intro to AR seminar. Intro to AR is primarily about skills and knowledge. Boot Camp and Adventure Training are primarily about functional physical fitness.

Boot Camp involves simple, functional exercises. We give you a tough workout in an outdoor setting, using bodyweight exercises, dumbbells, resistance cords and sometimes a few surprises, to develop functional and core strength, as well as cardio fitness. No mirrors, no leg warmers and no whining.

Adventure Training can involve running and/or biking and/or paddling, and may involve other challenges, too. You will probably get wet and/or dirty. If that's a problem, this may not be the program for you. If that sounds great, then this IS the program for you!

Boot Camp is $25 per session, or five (5) sessions for $20. Sessions last about 50-90 minutes. No extra charge if you puke. Adventure training sessions typically last 50-100 minutes. Most such sessions are $25. Longer sessions or those where we need to supply equipment for you may be more. (Much longer sessions and other one-on-one sessions are also available, tailored to your needs. They naturally cost more than the other types of sessions, but if you are interested in really long races, or one-on-one attention, they may be your preference.) Locations vary, it's one way we try to keep things fresh.
